Instagram MP4 Requires Compatible Source Streams
Instagram may expose different media formats for different public posts and Reels. VideoSave selects compatible MP4 video and audio streams and validates the result as H.264 with AAC. It does not convert an arbitrary source codec into H.264.
Best uses the highest compatible option found. The 1080p, 720p, and 480p choices cap the height and can return a lower resolution when Instagram does not supply a matching stream. Read more on the video-to-MP4 page.
No Instagram Login Session
VideoSave does not use Instagram credentials or cookies. Private posts and media that require a signed-in session are unsupported.
Instagram Access Can Change
A public link can stop working if the post is removed, access is restricted, or Instagram no longer returns compatible media to the current extractor.
